I tracked down the creator's website and got in touch, and now I'm in the process of putting together a pitch for a novel series. It's a long shot, but I have to take it.(less)

I dug around until I discovered that the email service I was using at the time allowed users to launch very simple websites, basically just a message board, but they also had sections for live text chat. I wanted to test that for viability as a gaming interface for our friend who was moving away, so I decided to mock up some gaming characters and lasso a couple other friends into it. At the top of a blank AD&D, 2nd Ed., character sheet I wrote "Gwyn the Savage." And the rest, as they say, is history.(less)

His survey mission had been textbook smooth until his proximity sensors flickered with a possible contact t

World War Z is a fantastic read. I'm not even interested in zombies, generally, but the structure and thought behind this tale are undeniably engaging. Like all great speculative fiction, it's really a human story, with un-preachy social commentary a ...more

Shane Coffey rated a book it was amazing Sorcerous (Rise of the Charioteer, #1) by Susan Laspe (Goodreads Author)	Error rating book. Refresh and try again. Rate this book Clear rating 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars
What a fun read! This book is just a step outside my usual sub-genres, and it rewarded me well for that step. I am accustomed to more epic or gritty fantasy, while Sorcerous (despite very high stakes in the quest) leans more into cozy and sweet tones ...more
