I am a Montana native who has lived in other places but returned to my home state in 2002. I attended college at the University of Montana and graduate school at the University of Kansas. I have taught English and Composition and Literature at several colleges and universities in various places. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I married a man who loves animals, too--many pets have resided with us. We currently have cats, dogs, and 4 chickens to keep us busy. Besides writing, I like to read, paint and draw,garden, cross-stitch, and travel.
