TJ Turner is a novelist, a historian, a research scientist, and a Federal Agent. He graduated from Cornell University and as a Reserve military officer, he has served four tours in Afghanistan and was awarded two Bronze Star Medals (2013, 2017). His essay about his deployments to Afghanistan—The Power ofTeddy Bears—was accepted and read on NPR’s This I Believe national essay series. Turner lives in central Ohio, with his wife, Nancy, and three children.

If I feel like I can't complete something, like right now (I'm stuck on the ending of a chapter in my newest manus…moreI don't stress over writer's block. If I feel like I can't complete something, like right now (I'm stuck on the ending of a chapter in my newest manuscript), then I just don't force it. I can't tell you how many times the answer has just come to me later, almost as if the characters, or the story, or something, just needed me to wait it out a bit longer to see the answer.(less)
