I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?

One that you write because you love it. The market changes so quickly, and, as you've said, it is inundated with product. But, remember this - there is nothing new under the sun. Every story has been done before. You are what brings the new and extraordinary to the tale. Your voice is what will bring the characters to life. You have yourself to offer to the market, and it doesn't matter how many manuscripts get rejected, yours can still be the one that sells. This industry is tough. Rejection is part of the journey, but if you persist, you will find the right place and the right time for your work. (less)

Hi Shirlee, I just finished Defender's Duty! I loved it and the while Sinclair brothers series! My question is about the 4th brother? I think I remember in at least 2 of them saying there where 4 boys anand a girl. I only remember Tristan, Grayson, Jude & Piper...am I missing a book or a brither?
