First I want to say hello and thank you for visiting my page, and/or sent me a friend request.

Let me introduce myself. I am a Lebanese-Canadian. I have a daughter, a good family and friends. I am a pet lover, and a dream chaser ...
I am always reading--pretty much anything. It is my favorite pass time, and I love it. My first title--the first of two book-sequel is called Twisted Forms of Love.

Twisted Forms of Love is my first book and is very emotional since it was based on many true events. I tried to keep the writing simple, well it is my first book and don't want to complicate things without being able to pull them off. I was inspired as I mentioned by many true events. One day, it was not a very good day--almost a year ago, I started writing away ... my day got better of course, but I realized later how much I enjoyed writing, as if I had just rediscovered something new about myself.

I hope this answers your question. You may always ask me private questions if you wish, sarahsalem-lebanon@hotmail.com(less)

To some it could be passion, to others could be fame, or simply making a living.
To me, writing was like a needed therapy.
and an escape ...
for those of you who are wondering--why is that?

Twisted Forms of Love was based on my true story, I had to re-live and confront my past again; during which, I broke down, I was a real mess ... but then, at the end, I had to let it go.

In my second coming up novel, I was able to engage with some of my fiction characters, I loved some, I hated others, I cried along with some, I screamed and fought with others. I imagined that my characters had feelings, I placed myself in their shoes, I gave them names, features, a unique characters ... so the second novel was a needed escape and a breath of fresh air after my first novel.
writers have individual unique reasons to why they write; and what is the best thing for them about being a writer. (less)

Hello and Happy 2015.

Well, it's another year, most of us have many resolution. Just like the many of you, my first resolution is to get back into shape. Let me tell you, getting myself to move, after a whole year of only working my brains and fingers 'while typing my novels' is extremely hard.

Ok, what's done is done, this year is a new beginning, I am already hopeful and looking forward to my boo Read more of this blog post »

“A woman wearing a half hijab sat on a dirty rag. I could see her toes through her ripped shoes. A baby cried in her arms. She opened her palm to me, saying, “We have no home. Please help me and my baby. God will bless you.”
I noticed her broken teeth. My heart sank; I turned my face to the other side. My God! If I turned to every misery around me, I would be crying rivers on the street.”
Sarah Salem, Twisted Forms of Love

“You are older, I heard someone say.
Wiser, I corrected, wiser than I was yesterday, by tomorrow I will be even wiser than today …”
