Peter Best-Author of ,The Burden of Truth, The Seeds of Lies, and coming soon, The Silhouette of a Broken Man.
Peter Best was born in the North East of England in the beginning of the sixties. Albeit the son of a shipyard worker, Peter was brought up in a mining community until the age of eight when for some reason or another somebody made the decision that the community should be uprooted and moved to a place called Cramlington on the outskirts of Newcastle.
After his time in school he served an apprenticeship working mainly on building sites working as an electrician, which he hated by the way! However, as Peter always looks on the positive side of things, he was pleased he did. It was on these building sites where he came across many diff

A few years back I went to a writers seminar in London. One of the talks there was about writers block and how to deal with it.
After various discussions the general feeling was to get over this problem was simply to write. Write anything that comes into your head. Doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to be well written, it doesn't even matter about the spelling. Just write!
However, to prompt this we were given a subject for this work. The subject was; when I was young I used to .... Then just write.
Doing this often works for me. Just thinking of this sentence and just writing down a few things and sure enough the brain unclogs itself. As I said it works for me, try it out.(less)

This question is actually quite hard to pin this down to one thing. So to generalise it a bit I would say the enjoyment it brings.
Fair enough being a writer is not always enjoyable, a great deal of your time you may feel really frustrated when things aren't going well. However when I look at the bigger picture so to say, the sheer feeling of self satisfaction and achievement especially after you have worked for hours and hours on a project is tremendous.
In addition to this, of course there are many thing that contribute to all of this. One thing that comes to mind is that writing makes you learn. By this I mean doing research for you book, going out to various places, talking to various people. All of this makes it exciting and worthwhile.
So as I said at the start, for me there is no best thing! it is a combination of many things. Put all of these together along with other things not mentioned and out of the mix; enjoyment and a love of writing. (less)

Possibly the last of my summer reads this one, but it was a good one to finish off with.

Well, it looks like this strange summer of 2020 is slowly coming to a close and autumn will soon by pushing its cooler winds in our direction soon. However, fingers crossed we might be getting a bit of an Indian Summer with a bit of luck so let’s wait and see.

Anyway, we’ve just spent a little bit of time down on the South West coast of England in Cornwall, near to the place where one of my books,
