November is fast upon us. Better than Black Friday sales on Thursday, November marks the start of NaNoWriMo. Again, I find myself signed up and chomping at the bit to get started.
Last year, I wrote Azimuth Falls--the novel that releases on Halloween this year. My thoughts were to write a novel for each of my sister's kids when they turn 14 (there are three of them) - each one, in turn, helping out in some way with designing an aspect of the story. There were some things I couldn't resist adding in, and what was one book for each is looking more like two.
This year for WriMo, I'm stuck between writing the second Azimuth book, or writing something for Natrola, a much larger, media rich storyline.
My editor said maybe I should keep going since I have the momentum up, and I haven't thought of a good sub-story for Natrola to dedicate 50,000 words to.
I guess it's time to light a fire under my butt and get to the outline. There's only a week left.
