Al…moreAgain, my experience is only with non-fiction. For me, I knew I was ready when I felt I had something compelling to say, and experience to draw on. Also, think of writing a book as a creative process. Because having ideas and lots of research isn't enough. You have to find a way to organize this mass of material into a clear and compelling story. (The creative process is also part of the fun....the challenge...at least for me.)(less)
