Sayeem Shams is one of the highest-paid translators in Bangladesh. He initially started his journey as a subtitle translator and translated more than 40+ international content (Hollywood, Bollywood, Spanish, German, Korean, Assamese, etc.). After gaining some experience, he stepped into the literature translation works.

He has translated classic works of Mark Twain, Jules Verne, James Hadley Chase, action-adventure of Clive Cussler, James Rollins, Thrillers of James Patterson, horrors of Stephen King, Self-help books of Brian Tracy, and many more. Until now, he has translated 13 books. His upcoming projects are Blood & Oil, powerful non-fiction about MBS, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia & Vladimir Nabokov's world-famous controversial novel Sayeem Shams is one of the highest-paid translators in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, he also worked as a dubbing scriptwriter for famous American TV series like Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Young Hercules & Turkish TV series Kuzgun. He wrote several TV Dramas; two (SHIRT, co-wrote Neel Aboron) were on-aired nation televisions like Maasranga Television & Rtv. Currently, he is developing a mini-series based on a mystery thriller book. The official announcement is around the corner.

ইলেকট্রিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করলেও তার পেশাগত পরিচয়: লেখক, অনুবাদক ও নাট্যকার। বাংলা সাবটাইটেল নির্মাণের মাধ্যমে অনুবাদচর্চার শুরু করেছিলেন। সিনেমাপ্রেমীরা তার নির্মিত ৪০টিরও বেশি বাংলা সাবটাইটেলের সাহায্য নিয়ে বিদেশি কনটেন্ট উপভোগ করে যাচ্ছেন।

সাহিত্য চর্চার উদ্দেশে লিখেছেন বিভিন্ন সংকলন ও রহস্যপত্রিকা’য়। পাশাপাশি বেশ কয়েকটি টিভি নাটক/টেলিফিল্মের চিত্রনাট্য ও সংলাপও লিখেছেন তিনি। তার রচিত প্রথম টেলিফিল্ম “শার্ট”, ২০১৬ সালে মাছরাঙা টেলিভিশনে প্রচারিত হয়েছে।

স্বনামধন্য পরিচালক রেদওয়ান রনি-র সাথে ক্রিয়েটিভ রাইটার হিসেবে বেশ কিছু টিভি বিজ্ঞাপন, অনলাইন কনটেন্ট, মিউজিক ভিডিও’র গল্প, চিত্রনাট্য ও সংলাপ লিখেছেন। ফিচার লেখক হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন জনপ্রিয় নিউজ/মিডিয়া হাউজ "Roar বাংলা"-য়।

ভাল ছিল। যতদূর জানি, বাজারে বাংলায় এই বিষয়ের ওপর প্রয়োজনীয় বই নেই। সেজন্য এক তারা বাড়তি দিলাম। তবে আমি আশা করেছিলাম বইটিতে আরো বিস্তারিত তথ্য থাকবে।
