Well, Hello. ^_^

My name's Amber Daugherty (my pen name is V. Amber), and while I do write books, I mostly use GoodReads to track my reading (for now). I'll be putting up what books that I can, and in the beginning, they'll be free short stories (or you can go buy the lovely Halloween anthology that I'm a part of for only $0.99, and you even get stories from other peoples). When I actually manage to finish anything else, I'll have them here, too.

As for what I'm like? Well, I'm a weird little geek girl, and have random hobbies and interests. I'm big into reading, obviously. I'll read just about anything that sounds interesting, but I'm really big into horror and romance novels. I'm a tabletop gamer, and have far too much fun playing the villa

There's kind of a reason I only have submissions to drabble anthologies listed so far: I can never seem to finish my stories. I've been working on my novel since the summer of 2005...(less)

I have the very beginnings of a few others, but there's not much yet. I'm also trying to learn how to upload ebooks via SmashWords, since I have a completed short story and piece of flash fiction I would love to get out to the world. Just gotta stop being lazy first. ^_^(less)

David Wong
“There are two types of people on planet Earth, Batman and Iron Man. Batman has a secret identity, right? So Bruce Wayne has to walk around every second of every day knowing that if somebody finds out his secret, his family is dead, his friends are dead, everyone he loves gets tortured to death by costumed supervillains. And he has to live with the weight of that secret every day. But not Tony Stark, he's open about who he is. He tells the world he's Iron Man, he doesn't give a shit. He doesn't have that shadow hanging over him, he doesn't have to spend energy building up those walls of lies around himself. You're one or the other - either you're one of those people who has to hide your real self because it would ruin you if it came out, because of your secret fetishes or addictions or crimes, or you're not one of those people. And the two groups aren't even living in the same universe.”
David Wong, This Book Is Full of Spiders

“I always thought that if those psychic phone lines were for real, I could just call them and not say a word and the psychic on the other end of the phone would rattle off my vital statistics, then tell me all about my future.”
Jeff Belanger

VampAmber I just won The Disturbance Timeline RPG: Core Rules and Post-Apocalyptic Time Period! I'm thinking I might have to try my hand at GMing again. Maybe this time, I won't completely ruin it. ^_^
