Kavya Janani. U is the author of the romance novel, With Love, Forever, two standalone sci-fi novelettes (Time Maidens series), and the poetry collections, La Douleur Exquise and From The Land of Longing.

She wrote her first short story, The Ghost Sticker, when she was eight. Since then, she has been writing stories on whatever piece of paper she can find. She publishes her short stories on this blog and her articles on Medium.

Kavya is also a poet and frequently publishes her poetry on Instagram and Medium. She also runs a poetry Substack website, Dreamypoet. Patient Zero – A Time Travel Short Story

If you all remember, this blog had a story titled ‘The Zeroth Patient’ which had won an award in Wattpad. It was also the story I recommended to people when they asked about my short stories. Well, ‘Patient Zero’ is a newer version of that story with mystical elements added. I have planned to expand this into a novella so that it reads well. For now, enjoy the short story.

Thanks, Kavya, for accepting my friend request. I’m reaching out to share an ADVANCE READER COPY of my upcoming debut book, “The Jo Huqums”. With a unique Indian perspective on World War I, the novel has a strong premise and meaningful themes.
