Today I reached the halfway point in my current work-in-progress. I'm engaged in the rounds of edits after my new novel has "cured" for a year. In other words, I haven't thought about this novel, or read any of it since I put it aside to just sit. I always do my books that way. It takes longer, but I can't do it any differently.

Sometimes the wait isn't enough to save a new book. I spent most of November and December working on a new title. But it didn't make it past my beta reader, so I junked it. Brutal stuff. Doing that still smarts. I mean that's a ton of time I'd invested in it. But if it's you-know-what to me, then imagine what it is to my readers. So, I just moved on to my next project.

I've said this before, but I don't like to talk about the novel I'm working on. I guess I'm superstitious. Talking about the WIP will jinx it. Maybe that's what happened in November. LOL. No, I didn't have the time to talk to anybody. Anyway, keep looking in 2012 for my new books. They'll be coming. Promise.
