A White Rose
27/04/2016
A pure white rose placed
gently within ones open palms
cradled gently with the thorns
against ones skin
palms rosy pink
against the fragile blooms
held gently within her keep
A look of shock
a gasp softly heard
a finger deeply pricked
against the wooden stem
A pure white petal
stains with red
contrasting colours of red versus white
leaves green pressed
against the stem so sharp
Hands open quick in silent shock
sending the pure white rose
stained with blood
from her keep
upon the dusty ground below
Tears stream from eyes forlorn
upon her gentle, fragile cheek
trailing down to lips that quiver
A pure white rose
lost … broken
stained with red
A finger held against her lip
tasting blood
a smile re forms
as
a new pure white rose
returns to her keep
and placed
safely to the crystal vase
within her keep
