Echoes of the Past - Chapter Six Cont'd
"So what made you decide to go all the way with God as you say?" Teni asked Deji as they sat down in their mum's lounge the folloing Sunday. She and Feyi had attended his church with him again that day and she had to admit she had enjoyed the service. It was lively and they really had an amazing choir that could compete secularly any day. "It was the things I saw around me that was the deciding factor.” He chomped on the roasted corn on the cobs that their mum had served them. "Shall I say, I did a lot of observations pretty early in life and came to the conclusion that nothing else satisfies but God." Teni took a bite of her burger and looked at him thoughtfully. "But you were born into a Christian home." "Officially yes." He agreed. "But mum and dad lived by their own laws." "I heard that, Deji." His mum called out from the dining area where she was laying more of the barbecued food on the table. "And that's what I call impertinent!" "I love you to the skies and beyond, mum!" Deji grinned. "But I'm just saying it as I saw it." © Osaradeyemi.blogspot 2013
