Thank you for answering! The problem is that Facebook shows my posts to a tiny portion of my reading audience (I have almost 75,000 fans on Facebook and they frequently show my posts to less than 250…and it's dropping.) In addition, a lot of Goodreads people don't bother with Facebook. So I'm trying to get in contact with them. Do you have other ideas? I'm listening!

Thank you! I'm not sure there won't be repeats, but as I said to GF, Facebook is miserable about showing my posts to readers (I have almost 75,000 fans on Facebook and they frequently show my posts to less than 250…and it's dropping.) So I'm seeking ways to touch base with my Goodreads readers. If you have other suggestions, I'm listening.

the problem is that i spend so much time on social media that another "choice" is just not possible. i do go to your fb page and look at all your posts if i get something in my daily stream from you(every day). i love your books and the additional info you put out in blurbs. try a blog and cut down on fb????????

Thank you for asking!

I know that about the computer. After hours, if I have leisure time, it's TV, reading, and if the family is visiting, games. No computer. No, no, no! :)

I never thought of the links in the GR newsletter. Yes, that works, bc you can follow up if you're interested. Or not. Your choice. Thank you!

Thank you! :)

Sharon, I always have something to say. Shutting up is my problem. ;)

How lovely. Thank you for telling me!

I know I'm about 20 years late, but right now I'm reading THE PERFECT STORM. Wonderful book, but so bleak!

Thank you! I do enjoy writing them. The summer solstice is coming up! Watch for it!

Thank you, Merry-sue, I do feel as if I'm talking to myself half the time on Facebook, and the great thing about Goodreads is everyone here is a reader. Here I've got something in common with everyone!

Sharon, I have to admit I flail around on Goodreads quite a lot. But readers are My People, so I keep trying. And yes on Goodreads people not being on Facebook. That's why I think this might be an approach to try. Thank you for the input!

Jessica! We didn't hear back from you on the Readers' Club. Is all well???

Anne, what do you check? I'm still not in tune with everything here — it's got such a massive amount of information — so I'm curious. Thank you!

Bless you! Now if only my kids were interested in what I have to say. ;)

I have those moments when I'm writing and something pops up — a funny typo or a great piece of dialogue — and I like to share spontaneously. So that would be fun.

Thank you, Amber. I appreciate you telling me! Especially about the newsletters which I labor over. If you're going to go thru the trouble of subscribing, I by God want to be entertaining. :) Summer solstice in the stone circle is coming up. June 20. Watch for it!

I check my home page. From there I can find/do just about everything I need. I can keep up with what friends are reading, update my status, review what I have read and get messages from authors, like you, that I "follow" that there is a new blog post. It is really the only form of "social media" that I use. If I want to know what friends are up to I pick up a phone and I am better off not knowing what my adult children are up too :)

Thank you! Very smart on social media. It is a time suck. (I meant time sink but I think that was a Freudian slip. :) ) I hear you on phoning friends and on not knowing what the kids are up to. It saves a lot of wear and tear on the nerves.

Kim, you said, "I guess what I'd like is short comments and links to new items on your website so you cue me to check for it on your website in case I didn't happen to do that for a while... "
I can definitely do that. Will other Goodreads readers feel cheated if I post half a blog with a link? Phooey. I think the best thing to do based on the variety of comments is to try a little over everything and see what flies. :) Thank you!
