Apparently pareidolia is the psychological phenomenon involving vague and random stimulus being perceived as significant. ( from Wikipedia) with the word coming from the Greek words "para" in this context meaning something faulty, wrong, instead of and the noun "eidolon" (image shape form). Or in short...
