Christmas Day was 75 degrees warm with tornado warnings and floods. Needless to say, we did not wear our favorite red sweaters and boot socks, nor did we build snow forts and Olaf. Instead, we turned on the TV channel that provided us with a live, crackling fire, making us feel like we were experiencing its warmth. “It just doesn’t feel like Christmas” we said. We sloshed through puddles in rubber boots and short sleeves before piling into the car and turning on the air conditioning.
