Here's a first draft from 'Calabim the Destroyer'. (Note: the author may change the title prior to release).
Gazing off into the far distance, Taraden could clearly see the tall assortment of ruined buildings in the wilderness of the lands only known to him from stories he recalled being told by high priest Rudduk as a young boy. They had incorporated mystical tales of man and technologies long since gone from the world. Now, these far away places were said to remain desolate, cold and silent and they awaited a day when new life would return to the land and peace would be able to prevail once again. It appeared that man had been their own worst enemy if all that had been said was true. They’d learnt far too much in a relatively short space of time, which had ultimately led them to their own destruction. Many of these humans had been wiped out by some sort of virus over the last hundred years, as had some of his own people and the surrounding forests. Demons had also had a large hand in that from what he understood, which was something he one day hoped to learn more about and hopefully gain revenge for.
