QuiltCon Schedule / Heather Ross

If you told me that I had to get on a south-bound plane tomorrow to justabout anywhere, I’d be thrilled. The fact that I’m headed to one of my most favorite cities, Austin Texas, for the largest celebration of all things modern and handmade, just makes leaving behind the bitterly cold island of Manhattan that much easier.

I’m looking forward to seeing lots of you there. My schedule is below, please come find me and say hello!

Sat, 2/21, 1:30, Creativebug launch, Exhibit Hall B

My dear friends at Creative Bug and I are cooking up some very cool things, including a new video series on Fabric Design. Denyse Schmidt, Lizzy House, me, and the CB crew will be leading the official at 1:30 on Saturday. Details Here.

Sat, 2/21, 2-3 Book Signing, Stitch Lab Booth

Join me at the Stitch Lab Booth for a bit of meet and greeting and book signing. They’ll have copies of all of my Abrams titles , hardcover and paperback copies of Weekend Sewing, Heather Ross PRINTS, and my latest book of essays, How To Catch a Frog. I’m usually good for a few special request doodled inscriptions...

Sun, 2/22, 2-2:45 Lecture: Fabric Design, Things I’ve Learned Along The Way...

I’m looking forward to sharing some hard learned lessons about fabric design, taking questions from the audience, and dishing on an alarming level. I’ll also be unveiling my new collection for Windham, TigerLily, reading an essay from my book, and sharing a few deep secrets about getting inspired and staying inspired.

Sun, 2/22: 3-4 Book Signing

If I missed you on Saturday, come back to the Stitch Lab booth and get a signed and or doodled in book. My drawing hand should be rested by then.
