And Re-Read Book Choice

Okay, that first review was tough, so much so that I didn't want to post it but I decided on this goal and I want to accomplish it. Part of me wants to commit to the plunge of reading all the books on my shelf, but for now my goal is to get through the bookshelf as best I can the rest of this year. If you're like me then you set high goals - shooting for the moon when you haven't even grasped how to use a jet-pack yet.
I'm going to make myself have a mini-goal: Review One Book a Week.

Now, as a avid reader (despite my lack of reading in the last couple yrs!) I'm thinking, 'come on I know I can read more than one book a week!' However, life happens and we must face the fact that things don't always go how we plan. Little steps are a good focus. Little steps always move us forward, and can turn into miles.

Okay, so rambling is happening, let's get to my next book for the Re-Read Section!

Drum roll please. . .

The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass The Selection
by Kiera Cass

Ta-da! A trilogy surprise! (and more because if you've read this series, the author did something I love--- she did a spin off series from the this trilogy!)
This makes the challenge a little different because I want to read them in chronological order, so the next few reviews will be part of the Re-Read Section, and then the Spin-off books will be the To-Read Section since I have not read the newer books as of yet. *deep breath*

The Selection Synopsis:

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

I tried picking a different book to Re-Read but something keeps pulling me back to The Selection series and I'm gonna go for it.
I hope you're excited as I am! Thank you for reading!

Happy Sunday :)
