Michele ran a fingertip across the creased paper balanced on her lap, tracing the line drawing she’d made on a previous trip to San Francisco when she was twelve and believed not just in fairytales, but the power of true love’s kiss. Had it really been a decade? A smile tugged at her lips, enticing her mood to lighten. She’d penciled the sketch a lifetime ago, it seemed. Back when she was young and full of romantic ideals.
