I won't summarize the book for you, because the highly esteemed Publishers Weekly has done a sterling job of describing the opening disasters in their review, which you will find to the right.
You might notice it's a starred review. It's also the seventh straight starred review for this series. That's kind of a big thing in the publishing world.

I am looking forward to this, and, as a history teacher (finishing 2 Western Civ 1 classes today), your treatment of the Delian League--or as we call it "The Athenian Empire!"
Hi Don, I'm very, very slow to reply to this, but I wanted to anyway because of your interesting point about the Athenian Empire. Yes, the Athenians themselves I don't think ever called themselves an empire, but as you say it was an empire in all but name. Thanks for being here!
