WWA member. Wow.....

Hey......it's the start of the weekend!
So, this week has been pleasantly productive - which has been rather nice.

Firstly I've been accepted as a member of the WWA - Western Writers of America.
I first investigated applying for membership of this group of western authors shortly after publishing 'The Tainted Dollar' back in December 2014.
Upon seeing one of the minimum entry requirements was to have already published three westerns I put the idea on the back burner - until a week or so ago.
Every year they have a convention for three or four days - somewhere on the 'American frontier' as they put it.
This years gathering was in Kansas City, Missouri - a state we drove across in 2011 where we stopped in St. Louis and also Kansas City.

Which gives me another objective to aim for - making the WWA convention at least once.
I guess that'll likely be in 2019 - as the plans for the 2018 stateside excursion have already been made.
Unless certain things change, of course, and I'm able to make two trips in 2018..........
As all the great names of both current and past western writing are - or have been - members I'm looking on it as measure of just how far I've come in my writing journey.

Here's to the 5th book - as yet unnamed .............

Wishing everyone a great weekend.
Stay safe out there!
Cheers.................
