Rewards!

There are basically two ways to motivate someone to action. A person can be motivated by consequences or by rewards. Personally, I prefer the latter. I’d much rather receive a reward than suffer a consequence. Usually that’s the case with kids too.

When I taught elementary school, recess was always a great motivator. “As soon as you turn your paper in, you may be dismissed for recess.” That one statement immediately motivated my fourth graders.

In the Bible we learn that God gives rewards too. Hebrews 11:6- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Coming to Him, believing that He exists, and receiving His rewards - a combination which is …the Next Right Choice!
