It's Been Soooo Long.....
Okay - so it's a month since my last 'author' posting!
Amazing....... I would never have thought it.
What's been happening?
Well, Book 6 (aka 'the follow-up to Wagon Mound to Santa Fe') has been regularly added to over the weeks. The total word count is now up around 22k.
I'll keep working on it until the first week of 2018, then I'll give the 5th book it's first edit.
I'm pretty much resigned to the fact it's unlikely I'll have two books ready for Dave by the time we go away next year.
It's likely that both will be written, but hoping for two fully edited novels is stretching it a bit.
I'm sure Dave will be more'n a little relieved with the subtle change of plan. Having 1000+ pages of novel to read is a somewhat daunting prospect........
I've also been experimenting with a couple of bits of software.
One to create my own web site, and the second is a photographic manipulation program - similar to Photoshop -
which I use for my Twitter posts.
I'm sure I've only just scratched the surface with what the second one can do, but I've spent many a happy hour using it to date.
So the forward plan now is to get the next two books written, edited, proofread and then published.
Then I'll take a couple of months out to get the web site created and functional, and delve deeper into the world of photo editing.
Wishing you all a good week.
Keep well.
Cheers...............

The exciting journey of a new author.
Hi.
Thanks for stopping by & reading.
I'm not going to make any rash promises about updating this with daily posts, but I'll try to make it more frequent than once a week!

Within in these blogs enteries I'm going to post updates on my writing/editing process as it develops.
Hopefully it will of interest to someone. Especially a person who's considering making the transition themselves from reader to author.
