Greatly loving Judgement Road...PTSD...is so hard, and so tragic. I wish I could help people like that, but would have no way to start. I had a foster uncle who survived Iwo Jima (died in the 1990s) knew a man who survived the sinking the the USS Indianapolis, and a cousin who served in Vietnam.

I try to help in whatever way I can but sometimes just writing about it and hoping people feel compassion is all one can do.

Thank you. I'm so glad you felt it was just right.
You've always handled PTSD, especially relating to sexual trauma, extremely well in my opinion. I have faith that you accomplished that again in this book.

While the scene was, in itself hard to read because of the subject matter, I feel like you did it justice without sugarcoating it. Amazing book, and I can't wait to see how you treat the rest of the boys' stories.
I really loved the book. However the man pictured above is in no way what I imagine Reaper as. That guy looks way too old and heavy for Reaper. He looks more the age of the old man who sits at the end of the bar, Bannister.
Kathleen wrote: "I really loved the book. However the man pictured above is in no way what I imagine Reaper as. That guy looks way too old and heavy for Reaper. Reaper is older-looking. He's not heavy he is all muscle (Reaper AND Al) LOL
I focused on jason Mamoa. As my Reaper. He was the warlord in Games of Thrones. In fact JM is my anti-hero in all the books that have anti-heros. Kaleesee was his wife perfect for Anya. BTW I loved the story. Hugs! 🙋
Just finished it yesterday. OMG!!!! I loved every word. I did not want this book to end. It has been a while since any couple totally fascinated me the way Anya and Reaper did. I was totally engrossed in them. You handled Reapers demons so tastefully and well. I was rooting from him from the start. It was just something about the way you portrayed him. Anya had to grow on me but she came through with flying colors. You definitely have a hit if the upcoming books in the series is as compelling as this one. You are definitely the Queen of the Paranormal genre. Love you, love you.
Reading about these hard subjects is rather...hard for me...but also quite helpful to me, as I was rather...unaware of them. I'm glad it's helping other people, as well. Have a great day.
Thank you so much for Judgement Road! Your hero Reaper reminds me of my nephew after he return home from the military and the war! He has ptsd and it has been very hard on him! We are just now getting to hug him and get a hug back and it has been over 8 years! I really enjoyed the book! I couldnt put it down! I cant wait for the next book in the series! Thank you again for taking on ptsd and the problems people have that have it!
Christine,I started out reading your Drake Sisters and loved them all. Then I read the sisters of the heart and then reread all of the Drake Sisters books again. Read Judgement road because I really liked the idea of a biker who was in it for doing good when they have always had such a bad rap. Plus each one of them has their own PTSD issues I knew after the first couple of pages you had a hit. Now I have just finished your 2nd book in the Shadow Riders series and I know there again that you will have another winner on your hands. I can't wait for Gee's story and the next one in the series for Torpedo Ink. Thank you, Christine, you are a wonderful author and you share your talent with all of your fans. <3
I have enjoyed all your books, some more than others, still all. When I read this book I was not sure what to expect. Having grown up in a military family I have seen PTSD in couple different forms, and I will say that I believe you handled it very well. The story and the people in it are likable and relatable. I am looking forward to the next book.

I guess we will have to imagine him as we would like to see him :)
I really loved Judgement Road. Reaper was battle scared and suffering PTSD, but he was a strong person.
Like Kathleen above, I also didn’t read Reaper as coming across like his photo above.
I have read all of Christine Feehan series, sometimes more than once I might add, and have really enjoyed them all.
Love the fact the heroines have a little bit of attitude, and the heros are just that ...Heros.
I loved Judgement Road; already read it a few times. A very intense story with much to think about it. I love Anya and Reaper and I am enjoying learning to know the other. I, too, think the cover model for Reaper looks a bit too old, but Any'a model is perfect. I haven't read whose story is next but I am looking forward to it.
Judgment Road was definitely a great book. You really have a talent for bringing us readers into the story so that we can relate to and feel the characters emotions. I guess that's why all your characters feel like family and friends so that we like seeing them again when they show up in future books. Torpedo Ink is going to be a great series. I can't wait for the next one. Thank you for all you stories!
I love Sisters of the Heart, the Drake Sisters, Shadow Riders and Torpedo Ink Series. Really loved this book and I can't wait for your next one in the 2 last series to come out. I like that fact that you found a strong woman to put with these men who had such a rough start in their lives and I can't wait to see what you do not only with the men but also the 2 surviving women. Awesome as always Christine Thank you so very much.

Me too donna! She said 2019 sometime when I asked CF. I've just started to read the Drake Sisters series and am lovin it :)
Love all the different series, especially the Dark series. I re-read every book, many times. I wasn't sure about the Torpedo Ink series, but CF handled really well. Thank you for all your books & the many hours of enjoyment!,
I agree with Ann Juday 💁🏻I have all CF series, have enjoyed every single one of them. while waiting for the new releases from Christine I tend to read one series again and again. At the moment re-reading The Dark series.
All the heros and heroines feel like family.
Congratulation Christine, I have been a fan for a long time.

Greedy Feehan Fan =D I actually liked the cover model on Judgement Road - he had no comfort in anyway in his life until they escaped and the model shows the hard life. "Cat's Lair" for me, was the only disappointing one as it had not even a hint of jaw line to fantasize over *wink*. The body had to do. =D
The fact that her research from Ghost Walkers to Shadow Riders to Leopards in Borneo is so detailed and facts are wrapped in such vivid fantasy, makes Feehan my favorite author of paranormal romance. Each couple are unique. Each situation although set in a group series, is unique. And its her love of detail, of facts, that bring her characters to life.
Christine Feehan is a miracle.
Judgment Road was ok and could have been Great the other series I loved. I think the book showed the Bikers had no respect for partner during sex from the way they talked to the act itself and I think it gives bikers a bad rep for one and I can skip all the vulgar parts when it could have been phrased better and still get the points across this book ranked up there with porn

If you can't say anything nice than just shut up :(
After all the Torpedo Ink went through growing up, they need all the love, and support they can get. I guess it's almost a form of PTSD, but I don't know enough about that....I'be been reading on it though.

Absolutely loved this book. Reaper has so many issues but worked through them in the book. *shaking my head* when he listened to his brothers for the surrogate but he trust them so much. I could of slapped him myself in that part. Loved it, though how they worked everything out and how Anya was able to come up with ideas to help him rather than just leaving. Such a strong couple together. Can't wait for the next story.
Same here. I felt that even though the Torpedo Ink were tough, they had a lot of compassion for the innocent, and wanted to protect them.
You can't please everyone. I'm just sad that that's what she took from reading the book. She missed the whole premise. And unfriended me to boot. Heh.

I really feel for them. My sister adopted a boy from Ukraine, that had been badly mistreated...he fine, but still struggles with that past, at times. She also adopted a boy from Russia -- aged 24 months-- that couldn't walk, or talk, and most likely autisic(?), but both are adults, now, and fine...over all.

I just finished Hidden Currents and saw reviews where ppl were appalled. I loved the entire series. What you wrote about is real life happenings. Sure it was hard to read because for one it was happening to a beloved character. Just keep in mind that it is FICTION and enjoy the good times :)

The way real life is woven into the fantasy worlds Christine has created. Many writers just make things up to suit the story. In these worlds, the story is wrapped in fact, researched to a fault. Then turned into a compelling work of art that I just can't put down. I'm twitching for the next Torpedo Ink book! Trying to guess who it will be about by the clues set in Reaper's story. I think I've narrowed it down to two. =D
And I've seen the negative remarks, and I disregard them for what they are. I'm hooked, and I'm ok with that!
I LOVED this book! I loved that it was gritty and real, that the bikers weren't made out to be these misunderstood modern day knights, that their society is uniquely theirs and not necessarily acceptable to the mainstream population. I loved that the characters clearly had PTSD and no clue on how to deal with it, and that it showed how easily some methods of treatment can be misinterpreted by the uneducated. I loved that Anya had her own form of PTSD that Reaper had to deal with, that it wasn't all one-sided. I especially love that Anya had her limit and she put her foot down when she thought that limit had been crossed. I seriously cannot rave on about this book enough. I personally can't wait for the next installment.
