If violence will happen, gun or not,
It will not happen as swiftly,
Nor will it be as easy to achieve
As with a handheld instrument of slaughter,
Called a firearm.

No longer in denial;
This is not an argument;
This is an acceptance of fact:
Accepting that justification as no justification,
As due to a cornucopia of carnage,
It lacks a pretense of goodness,
And is simply horrific,
And not something we’ll be a part of,
If only in silence.

As we are all human,
