Getting ready to fly to my hometown next week for a book signing at Barnes & Noble and what do I do? Trip on a rug and dislocate my shoulder, that's what! Walking down the hallway to the bathroom Wednesday night I tripped on the rug runner and went down hard. The ambulance came and they put it back in its socket in the er. So the last couple of days I've been sore all over--not just my shoulder.

Anyway, still taking my trip and crossing fingers that I can sign books. Of course, it was my right shoulder, so my arm is in a sling. If there is a silver lining, I guess it would be that if everything went smoothly all the time, I'd have nothing to write about.
