A bit of truth

I almost never give 1-star reviews anymore. Life's too short to waste reading a book that bad.

Daniel McTaggart There's a book on my list that I gave two stars for. I enjoyed reading it, but some of the dialogue was just god awful. It was an old erotic crime thriller by Orrie Hitt.

Marne Wilson I have trouble differentiating one-star and two-star reviews in my mind. What is the difference for you?

2-star books have some quality that pulls me through to the end, but when I'm finished, I can't stand them.

I think for me, two stars means I understood it and hated it and one star means I couldn’t make sense of it at all. I don’t give many one-star reviews to books, but movies are another story.
