Dr. Paul Thomas founded PHOI with the sole purpose to fund a registry that will track the health outcomes of about 5000 newborns, prospectively, for 18 years. The registry has IRB approval and has already enrolled over 250 newborns this past year. The registry will look at all factors that might be affecting health in an effort to determine which choices parents can make that will improve the long term health of their children.
