Day 53
There are days when the repetitive questions, whines, cries, demands, and needs of children are harder to take than others.
Then I go to work.
Where there are days when the repetitive questions, whines, cries, demands, and needs of customers are harder to take than others.
When I’m stressed I forget to take deep breaths.
I stay stressed and tense.
I react in ridiculous ways.
Like the children and customers I serve.
Stress is like a mountain you climb.
Where sometimes you forget there’s a way down.
Sometimes you stay at the top of the mountain for months.
Or even years.
Sometimes you never come back down.
I think we all get into these cycles.
We follow a path without turning around.
But it’s almost like the path chooses us.
The path is created by the circumstances of our life.
My fitbit smells like toddler milk vomit.
I’ve washed it three times and it wont come off.
Emmy was lying on my chest this morning until her entire bottle projected out of her all over me.
Emmy vomits milk like our others kids never did.
This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time this has happened.
It’s crazy.
She was lying there with her head on my chest.
And I heard that sound.
But it was too late.
Milk just erupting out of her until everything was out.
Milk left draining from her nose.
Emmy in shock.
Easton curiously looking at us.
And the smell. My god.
If you don’t have toddlers anymore you might not remember it.
Or maybe you do.
If you’ve never had children well you just don’t know.
It’s putrid.
It’s wrong.
You think your vomit smells bad.
And obviously it does.
But not like this.
This shit is another level.
Anyway.
Currently weighing 178.
My self imposed reverse Ramadan lasted 3 days.
It definitely pushed things forward quick.
But since I’ve just maintained.
Still this is progress.
Tony Robbins says progress equals happiness.
I’m getting there.
Still doing the same old stuff.
I workout and jog most days.
Eating has been so much better.
Had one PB cray day in the time span since my last post.
Mostly limited snacks to one a night.
Going to Ramadan it again for the next few days.
Got that 2 steps forward one step back situation.
In the long run that’ll work.
I may not win my office challenge.
But I’ll be drinking beers by Robs pool no shirt this summer.
I can already feel my clothes fitting looser.
Such a welcome sign of hard work done.
I hope your journey is progressing.
I want you to get where you want.
Feel free to like my blog if you like.
Or drop me a comment.
Preferably in gif format.
