“Look, Dale,” said Martin, pointing to the logo displayed at the bottom of his ID, “I work for ASIO.” He allowed time for the implications of that to sink in. “I could get a warrant, but when I returned I’d be accompanied by a whole slew of agents who would swarm all over this place. They’d have to close you down for the day, and when they searched the place, they might just find your stash and then they’d have to arrest you. Neither of us wants that, now, do we?
