Free today January 17th--"My Name is Rebecca: A Novelette." I initially had the idea to write this (historical fiction) novelette as a tribute to my mother's family who came from Russia in the early 1900s. As I wrote, it evolved into a tribute to all who have come, and are coming, to America for a better life. A quick read, the story details life in Russia, the voyage to America, the ordeal suffered at Ellis Island, the Lower East End of New York, and life in America.
