Day 6 - Meet Erika
Hello Goodreads folks!
For the ten days leading up to my February 1 release of TAERYN: THE AWAKENING, I will be sharing info about the characters, some trivia, and even a few surprises.
Countdown Day 6 - #MeetErika
Excerpt:
"What happened?" Erika asked.
"It's a long story," Taeryn began. "It concerns Kat and Tristan, but I have permission to tell you if you want to hear it."
Erika's eyes got big as she leaned forward. "Are you and Tristan empathic?" she broke in before Taeryn could even begin.
Taeryn laughed. "Wow, that was quick. Why don't you tell me the story?"
"I'm so sorry Taeryn, I've been dying to ask you about it, but I didn't know how to bring it up without sounding like a stalker or like I'm crazy, which I might be but that's besides the point." She stopped to catch her breath. Her enthusiasm was infectious.
"What makes you think Tristan and I are empathic?" Taeryn asked.
"I can see auras, just like my mother and grandmother could. I noticed you right away because you have the most beautiful aura I've ever seen. It's like crystal prisms."
"Yes, Tristan and I are empathic. There's a lot more to the story though."
"You mean how Kat is telepathic? How did you find out? Is it just with you and Tristan, or can she read anybody's mind? Wow, I hope I haven't thought anything mean about her when she was listening."
"Yes, Kat can read people's thoughts. Doesn't it bother you, don't you feel... invaded?"
Erika reflected. "Not knowing about it doesn't change the fact of it. I guess I'd rather know than not know. You know?" she grinned.

This story is a different kind of SciFi-Romance. Steamy, yes, but it's also deeply emotional and deals with serious topics. Plus empathy & telepathy, transcending human potential, and of course an invasion by cruel aliens. All taking place on an exotic movie set!
