I can imagine that the first step is the most difficult one. I'm sure with Swapna's comments the writing process goes into the next gear.
How exciting! Is your story more 'historical', or does it lean more on fantasy? I'm curious to know how they viewed gender and sexuality in Arthurian times.
This is so exciting! Congratulations! I've kept thinking how the process is going for you, with such a busy schedule and all the life to live, too. So great to hear you've reached this milestone! So excited to read it, once the creative journey's done <3<3
@Sarah I’m not at liberty to talk about the specifics of it at all yet. I don’t know exactly what the source was for the idea that I came up with, but Swapna said yes to it when I pitched it to her. I would like to think it will resonate with folks, but we shall see...
I am so excited to see a story about some of my favorite characters from the creative mind of someone as insightful as you, Anthony! Congrats on getting the first draft done, looking forward to the final result!
I sincerely hope, Allison, that what I have written will speak to you. I know how much The Once and Future King means in your life. Yours will be a response I will eagerly await!

This premise is making me curious of your own past with these characters, and indeed of the mysteries of finding any specific inspiration in general. Very rousing of thoughts in on itself!(I also gotta agree with the editing task being a much more relaxed a part to handle; combining and molding already existing elements, rather than creating new.)
Writing is a difficult process, but I'm sure the end product will be wonderful in your case! I look forward to reading it.
As said by many people already, congratulations on the first draft done! And thank you for sharing us the journey, it is very interesting. You are so talented! I guess you could add cello as next step^^
Yaaaay! I'm very much looking forward to this. Here's to first drafts, editors, and re-writing. (The last of which I sometimes love and sometimes hate, tbh, depending on my daily form.)
Oh yayyy! As a baby writer of SF&F fiction, I have been starting and stopping and losing heart in my ability to compress all my feelings into coherent prose and starting excitedly again, for some time now too, so I feel you. Can't wait to read it! I want to make some kind of joke about your "swapna" (dream) coming true, but um, baby writer...so I am just going to go work on writing skillz now, haha!
I love learning that her name means “dream.” Thanks for that lovely tidbit! Best of luck with your writing as well.
Congratulations on completing that huge first step. I'm so excited for you, and I can't wait to read it!
