While I was gone for a day and my husband was home with the boys, they kids played a game where they hung a blanket from the ceiling fan and then watched it spin around faster and faster. This was perfect for their karate chopping training which required intermittent speeds to interchange blocks and attacks.

They played this game without fighting so I understand how they got away with it for so long. In fact, they got away with until 20 minutes after they were done playing the game when there was a giant WHUMP and then Gomez discovered it. "It was hanging from a fat black cord!" he gestured and his arms were spread wide to show how far down the fan had hung.

So we no longer have a ceiling fan in that room.
