Just wondering why you are rewriting some of your books?

I write better now than when I was first published, so I am doing some polishing. I have a publisher who is bringing out all these formerly out of print books as eBooks. So this gave me the opportunity to polish the older ones for their eBook release. They are the same books and the same story, just minor changes to improve the prose.
In some cases, I also am streamlining the scientific exposition. I'm not taking it out, but I'm going through it to remove excess words and jargon, and to streamline those sections.
For Catch the Lightning, the changes were more substantial, and I was able to put back my preferences for how I wrote the book (I had to make some compromises with the original version). So that one is more completely rewritten, and separated into two books, for each of the two universes where the story takes place. That is why it became Lightning Strike, Book I and Lightning Strike, Book 2.
Thanks for the question! And thank you for your interest in my work.
Best always -- Catherine

The ones from Baen are available right now in eBook form. The ones from Tor I have the chance to rewrite, so I will be doing that over the next few months (now that I can't go anywhere!). Once that is done, we will bring them out in eBook form.
Thanks for the question, and my apology for the delay in my response. I'm just getting caught up here on Goodreads.
Thanks. I love your books, I consider Primary Inversion as my most favorite fiction book of all times, and I intended to read the whole Skolian Empire series, but in my country it's really difficult to find them, even imported. Since I got a Kindle reading your books became much easier. I loved Lightning Strike: Book One and can't wait to read Book Two.
Thank you! We will get cracking on the eBooks! Did you read The Veiled Web or The Pheonix Code? Those are already out in eBook. They are near future thrillers.
