在50年内
When we are looking back at the Corona Revolution that happened fifty years ago, we need to remember how it all started. After years of being held back by the enemy, we finally found its weakness. What they loved most. Money! We started making everything for them. Their money could never have bought as much as then. Every woman, man and child had something "Made in China". Initially in the hated USA, and then in the rest of the world. First, they enjoyed it. But while they were becoming hooked, we started raising, little by little. The whole world needed what we built. We had the biggest bank resources and most rich men in the world. Still, we were only second. Always second. But eventually we would have made it. The Americans saw that. Their last president decided to start a war with us. A trade war. Just when we were about to get them. That set us back. But the Party, in its deep wisom, decided that this time, we are ready to fight back. The time has come! This will not only cursh the Americans. It will ensure The People's Republic of China will be the incontestable ruler of the world. We could have fought the Americans, but not the World. Instead, we needed to turn our image of a manipulating-non-transparent country into our strength. We needed to encourage the world to think that the information that appears in our media is controlled by the Party. They needed to no longer believe us. We did that sacrifice. We showed the World an artificial China. A China you can't trust. The Party fakes the numbers. Twists the news. This was an enormous sacrifice! But we did it! We had an even much larger sacrifice to make. When the weapon was ready - the virus - we turned it first against ourselves. More than ten thousands victims. Heroes of our nation! They died for the motherland so that the world will think of China as the worst hit country. But we showed them that with the Party at the rule, we managed to stop the spread of the virus. At lest in China. The rest of the world followed getting sick quickly, about a month later. First Europe - hundred of thousands died. Then the USA. Millions. But before dying they realized that they don't have the basics - no ventilators, no motors, no cheap assembly. All the factories were in China. So they tried to buy them. They asked. They pleaded. They threatened. They begged. Eventually we signed a trade treaty devastating to them. And although we started showing the World that the Party found a cure, they didn't believe us. We were treating our fellow countrymen and the virus was being eradicated. They started believing when it was too late. America was in its death throes and completely at our mercy when they realized we were telling the truth. By then, the Party was showing its magnanimous nature by sharing with the world The Cure to the Coronavirus. Made in China. By the time the virus was eradicated, the United States were no longer. United. Big Texas. United States of the West. And of the East. And the United states of Canada. Four new countries, each fighting with the others for the "great" legacy of democracy.
And that is why we learn history! To remember our fallen heroes. To remember the greatest strategy of all times! Play big! Win big!
...they did have a small victory though - we couldn't change the Internet, so we needed to adapt. That's why this short story is in English.
PS: 29.03.2020 - It's really disturbing, having written the above and the next day seeing this - https://www.ilpost.it/2020/03/25/tgr-... . Ok, not exactly the same virus. And yeah, I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories. Still, pretty disturbing...
