Love Taps is my new release and this is borrowed from the intro to my cover reveal party. It begins with the question:

What is Love Taps?

A book.

Ok, moving on....

Alright, alright, there's more of a story here than that. What happened was that I had issues with editing and getting issues fixed with my novels last year. This put me in a rut. I'd start working on a full length novel then get pulled back into editing fixes and lose traction. To cope I started writing more short stories. Originally something to wet your whistles while you waited I ended up writing quite a few of these. So I collected a couple of my faves, updated and improved them, then wrote several new shorts that I have literally been saving for almost a year.

Each story is written by me but in different styles and with varying themes. These reflect where my head was at while writing as well as various experimental efforts to improve my craft. This is why I call Love Taps a collection of dangerous stories. They're written in ways I haven't tried before and I don't know how that will be received. All I can guarantee is that each story is sexy and fun.

Now that the editing issues are corrected and my other novels are fully updated (yep, go buy those, plug plug plug) I have returned to the full length story I've been struggling to write. Called The Kinky Destruction of Chantelle Sinclaire it is currently in the editing phase. Once complete I'll be returning to Brooke's Hollow to complete the election arc.

But...ya butts...everyone likes butts...

I think I will continue experimenting with short stories both for when I have enough free time to write but not to hunker down into a novel and for when I'm in that odd limbo during the publication process. I already have 4 shorts of a shared theme that I might put together into a second short story anthology if Love Taps does well and, who knows? This may be a new way to get Shawna Hunter books out faster. We'll see, for now lets celebrate Love Taps!
