MY MEAL PREP 101

One of the things that you want to fall in place in going after the life you want is having a healthy body and a healthy mindset. Amidst the hustle bustle of every day life, we also spend time in preparing our meals and in rush you tend to resort to unhealthy way of eating which lowers the essence of creating the life you want.

MEAL PREP 101: TOP 3 TIPS FOR MEAL PREP
Is Sunday a dreaded day?  You know you need to meal prep to set yourself up for a healthy and productive week, but at the same time, you just want to chill out!
I feel you! But, we know how much of a timesaver it is to meal prep, so let me tell you how to maximise your meal prep time!
Check out my top 3 tips below:
PLAN OUT YOUR MEALS IN ADVANCE
This may sound silly, but the number of times I have overspent because I have just grabbed ‘healthy’ ingredients from the supermarket, only to come home and realise I can’t quite put a meal together…
Or at least not the best meal!
So plan out your breakfast, lunches, dinners and snacks, pick your proteins, carbs, veggies and fat and make a shopping list before you go. Take note of meals you might eat out too!
I have my recipes planned out and easy go to’s so that I don’t end up overspending, or even over prepping and having to throw meals away.
LEFTOVERS
If you know you’re going to be short on time on the weekend to prep, use dinner time to make your lunch for the next day!  Leftovers are a fantastic way to make sure you keep your meal prep more fresh, and also take the hassle out of making yourself multiple meals. Simply double your recipe or meal at dinner and as you serve up your dinner pack the other half in a separate lunch. If you are cooking for yourself and your  family, increase the recipe more and make them lunch too!  Just make sure you portion it away from your current meal, so that other hungry humans in your household don’t just eat it as seconds .
DO YOUR GROCERIES ON A SEPARATE DAY
Take away some of the overwhelm - shop on a different day than you prep! It's really exhausting to do all on one day. By the time you shop, wash, cut and cook it can turn into a long process, breaking this up will make it feel less overwhelming and like a chore.
An hour to shop on a Friday for example then two hours to prep on a Sunday is going to feel far more manageable than 3 hours all in one day!
Try these out! Let me know below ⬇️ do you meal prep?
