Happy Friday!
I hope everyone had a good week. It's Friday so we're all trying to figure out what to do this weekend. Might I suggest a good book? I have a list of books that I've read, am reading or want to read. Check out the reviews and give em a read!
Also, if you're so inclined, give my debut novel Jett Landry: The Fuse a read.
It's the story of a teenage girl and her dad. Jett is a student at Port City High. Being biracial, she's the only kid at her school that isn't white. A group of kids bully her relentlessly and one day she finally tells her dad what's happening at school and everything changes.
Jett's dad is Markus Jackson, the last of Port City's old school private detectives. He's a good guy with a bad attitude, a throwback to the old school noir detectives. He has the dirt on everyone who's anyone in Port City and he isn't afraid to use it. But being a father to a teenage girl is different. Jackson may be a jaded, cynical guy, but he loves his daughter and he'll do anything to protect her.
It's a coming of age story mired in conspiracy. Is there a connection between the bullying Jett experiences and the corruption/trafficking case her dad is working? Why does Port City's most influential politician have it out for Jett? Why does everyone hate and fear Markus Jackson?
Jett Landry: The Fuse is the first book in the Jett Landry series. Jett Landry: Urban Legend, is coming soon so read The Fuse now so you'll be ready.
It's gonna be a wild ride!
Stay Cool!
