Pre-ordered mine! Looking forward to any new book by that Pearson. Tuck it right up there with the portable Ray Tatum.
Thanks very much, Jane and Valerie. I think this one is well worth reading (and I can't always say that).
Looking forward to your new book as I have all your previous ones. Best wishes for a wonderful new year.
As native Virginians and looonnnngg time Californians, with a soft spot for mules (at least the current mare, prior gelding was a bit too much) and Pearson books since Short History first appeared, definitely looking forward to this one.
Wonderful news, I've just pre-ordered on Amazon. It will be delivered on my Birthday. I can't think of a nicer gift. I'm looking forward to reading it. Hope you and all yours are doing well in these trying times. Thanks
Hi Mark. Good to hear from you. I think you'll enjoy this one, and it might beat your birthday by just a bit.
Coming in print, too?Greatly appreciate your efforts. Excited to see another one on the way so soon after the last. Can never get enough.
Thanks.
TR, you hit your hoped for mark. Challenging times these. What a joy it was to sit back and forget the rest of the world and start pulling for the "farm boy", loving Belle, lusting after Orla, admiring in a way Ira and the Pawnee boy and feeling sorry for, but understanding, Arturo's pain. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for the distraction, the laughs and that feels-like-home porch sit my mind enjoys when you put out a new book. Can't wait for the next one!

Occasionally, though, every once in a great while, I'll open the spigot, and the thing I imagined comes out. The right voice and tone, the right characters, the right story. Everything in good order.
