“When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast to his scientific and technological abundance; we’ve learned to fly the air like birds, we’ve learned to swim the seas like fish, and yet, we haven’t learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters.”
– Martin Luther King, Jr
In spite of our technological advances and knowledge, mankind is walking around in a state of disassociation from their spiritual self. The spiritual self is who we really are, while our body and human mind are merely a physical means of expressing our spiritual self.
We are spiritual beings clothed in an earthly form. The challenge of mortality lies is in allowing our spirit to lead us and not permitting ourselves to be dominated
by our human mind or physical body. All the knowledge in the world is lost, if we do not understand this and act accordingly. We are brothers and sisters.
