In my previous blog, I promised to write more on my thoughts concerning self-publishing.
Before taking the giant step of self-publishing the stuff you store on your laptop, please consider the following. Is your book fiction? Non-fiction? Who will your audience be? You should already know the answers to these important questions. Knowing, makes it easier to proceed.
Consider this; you completed your manuscript; your editor gives you the green light and you are ready to publish. Arm with enough knowledge about publishing, you choose the self-publishing route. You can manage, promote and market your book or you can hire people to do it for you; either way, an amount of financial investment will be necessary. Your book project will either be a pipe-dream or a reality. Leave a legacy, make it a reality.
Self-publishing might pay you higher royalties; allow spin-off gigs; put you squarely in the driver’s seat of your book business; and, give freedom to be your best.
