Vietnam Vets
I think many of my readers would be interested in hearing stories about memories and experiences from the men and women who served in Vietnam; I know I would! A collection of stories from all those brave veterans would make an interesting and compassionate read. I know it has been a long time past, and I do not want veterans to dredge up pain long since buried, but if you are able to share we might gain something from your story.

I grew up in a military family, with a father that served in Vietnam. I too served in the USNR, so I'm no stranger to the military way of life. I have always had an interest in the Vietnam war, even taking courses on the war as an undergraduate. However, it was my uncle, Charles Raymond, who gave me the ground truth about firefights and daily drudgery of life in the Nam. He served three tours in the 1st Cav, including a tour at Phu Bai where he was under fire bringing supplies up the river to the marines attacking Hue City. Imagine being 20 years old and coping with the real possibility of death every day. Brave men!
