Marketing Missteps

Marketing is a pain, and when you have to do it yourself, it can be seriously frustrating.

Case in point. We updated the punctuation in, The Carnage Male. Amazon had no problem with the Kindle version, but they had a conniption fit about the physical copy. Why? Because there is an anthropomorphic ad on the back cover.

The entire series has these joke ads, and this is the one they chose to complain about? The product doesn’t exist. Hopefully, talking to one of the help desk personnel will fix this issue. I’d hate to have to add a disclaimer on the back or change the ad completely.

Another issue is Facebook and A Solitary Evening. The cover is a reproduction of the 50s cover, replacing humans with anthropomorphic people. Apparently, a person can show humans in bondage on FB but god forbid you hint at anything else in distress and suddenly you’re promoting animal cruelty.

Dealing with Big Tech can be an effort in frustration.
