My Bookshelf #2
Since I’ve given you books I have read, here’s a list of books I got recently and are on my bookshelf to read.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald: I know, I know, you’re screaming at your screen because I haven’t read this book. I’m getting around to it. Don’t worry.
Heartborn by Terry Maggert: This book isn’t published yet, but I’m getting a proof of it from the author in the next week or two to read and give feedback on. You should go find Terry and get one of his books; he writes some pretty amazing paranormal books.
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard: I’ve been eyeing this book since I first saw it on the shelves in Barnes & Noble. Hopefully it’s as good as it looks!
I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore: I know it’s a sci-fi book about aliens and that’s about it. The tag line is what convinced me to buy it. “Three are dead.”
Brida by Paulo Coelho: It’s a book about an Irish girl and the cover is beautiful. That’s all I know.
The Skin Map by Stephen R. Lawhead: I don’t know much about this book either, but it looks thrilling and the summary is interesting. We’ll see.
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini: Apparently, I don’t know anything about the books I own. Whatever. I’ve heard this is an amazing book.
London Calling by Edward Bloor: This one I do know something about. It’s a historical fiction about a little British boy. Plot twist: he’s dead. He tries to communicate with the main character and show him parts of the past.
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein: Another historical fiction about two best friends. As I understand it, at least one of them is a spy and is stranded in an enemy country during the war. Don’t quote me on that, though.
I have plenty more books to read, but these are on the top of my list right now. If you have any other books you’d like to recommend to me, please, let me know!
You can find my book on Amazon or at my website (kmhigginbotham.com). It’s a fantasy book called Keeper: The Book of Aon.
