Welcome to the WymerNovels blog. Today, I will be discussing Space Opera, my favorite subgenre of Science Fiction.

As it may already be evident with the universes that I have created, the stories I write are always Space Opera. With Lightyears Trilogy, it was Galactic Empire Space Opera. With Treasures From Afar, it was also Galactic Empire Space Opera. With Xeno Tryst Duology, it was Erotic Space Opera. What exactly is Space Opera? Space Opera is a subgenre of Scinece Fiction that has interplanetary space travel, space battles, a host of diverse characters, and melodramatic situations, all on a galactic scale. The world building is generally vivid and detailed, capturing your imagination and taking you along on the journey. My future literary plans include a Mystery Space Opera and a Fantasy Space Opera. Perhaps after that, I may write a long series in a vast universe. With Space Opera, there are no limits…

The Space Operas that I grew up with, in books, TV, and movies, gave me great inspiration. Some of those include Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica (Classic), Buck Rogers in the Twenty-fifth Century, V, and Dune. I wanted to create my own universes, and so began my writing career. When others can enjoy those universes, it is just a bonus.
