The energies of winter call for withdrawing into peaceful moments. This Christmas, I'll be spending a quiet day with my husband and two fur babies, watching holiday movies and reading. I have books piled next to my bed awaiting my attention, as well as all the volumes loaded in my Kindle.

It's been hard with a teething Shih Tzu puppy (Sophie) to read anything with an actual cover on it since she sees it as an invitation to play.
