My Space Opera

My first two books in my space opera series, Crown of Light: Insurrection and Crown of Light: Redemption are available on Amazon Kindle, Kindle Prime, or paperback.
The plan is for a finite series that will end, rather than go on and on and on. This series will be 5 or 6 books.
I have ideas for other books as well, all set in space with interesting characters, human and non-human alike. I have sentient starship in the Crown series and sentient crystalline beings.
In my writing I am not trying to make profound statements I just want to have fun and give my readers a good time. If I can make them laugh, cry, and go hmmmm. I have done my job.
In real life I am a wife and mother. I am a Registered Nurse and have worked almost every area in the hospital. I currently work from home as a Nurse Care Coordinator. I have been writing almost all my life, but I sucked at grammar and punctuation and thought for too long I could never get my stories out there. I was turned down more times than I like to think for the Crown series and, to be honest the first versions were pretty bad, as I did not have a good grasp of writing.
But I loved this story. I believed in it, and met other writers who taught me the basics of good writing. The final version of Crown of Light: Insurrection is much better than the earlier versions, but it still has issues. The second book, Redemption is better written, I think. A writer continues to evolve the more they write. I plan on evolving a lot.

My favorite writers are Lois McMaster Bujold and Jim Butcher, and David Eddings Belgeriad series. I have other favorites, but these three have influenced my writing the most.
